I’m Chris Leo Palermino, a writer, web manager and digital strategist in the music and NGO sectors based in Brooklyn. I’m co-founder of The Medley, the digital & IRL community for local musicians, and founder of Leo Leo Artists, a label & artist management co.
I’m well-versed in indie rock, the intricacies of the independent music biz circa 2026 and the best cheap eats in NYC. I currently work as a web manager in the NGO space by day, with experience in tech (WeWork, 2019-2021) and journalism (Freelance, 2012-present). I’m a supporter of independent publications, local music (as well as, sometimes, the Billboard Top 40), and I studied Economics and Statistics in undergrad.
Formerly a music, theater and culture writer for Metro Newspapers, music and pop culture writer for Myspace, entertainment biz blogger for Digital Trends with bylines at Billboard, Vulture, The Daily Dot and Boston.com’s BDCwire. Highlights include interviewing The Flaming Lips’ Wayne Coyne, Lucius, Duran Duran’s John Taylor, David Simon on The Deuce, YG on “FDT”, plus covering Bonnaroo, CMJ and Boston Calling and chatting with BitTorrent and Mega execs during their rebrand attempts.
P.S.: Support your local independent print publication. RIP the Boston Phoenix. Long live the Village Voice.
Find me on LinkedIn, Facebook, Bluesky and at that local rock show.
