about

I’m a writer, web manager and digital strategist in the music, culture and NGO sectors based in Brooklyn. Working on a networking app for musicians, and Leo Leo Artists, an artist development outfit.

I’m well-versed in indie rock, the intricacies of the music biz circa 2024 and the best cheap eats in NYC. I currently work in the NGO space by day, with a background in tech (WeWork, 2019 – 2021) and journalism (Freelance, 2012 – present). I’m a supporter of independent publications, local music (as well as, sometimes, the Billboard Top 40), and I studied Economics and Statistics in undergrad.

Formerly a longtime music, theater and culture writer for Metro Newspapers, music and pop culture writer for Myspace and entertainment biz blogger for Digital Trends, with other bylines at Billboard, Vulture, The Daily Dot and Boston.com’s BDCwire. Highlights included interviewing showrunner David Simon on HBO’s The Deuce, covering CMJ (RIP) for Myspace, interviewing West Coast rapper YG on his 2016 anthem “FDT (Fuck Donald Trump)” and talking with execs at BitTorrent and Mega after they tried to relaunch as a legitimate brand.

P.S.: Support your local independent print publication. RIP Boston Phoenix. Long live the Village Voice.

Find me on Twitter, InstagramThreads, Bluesky and at that local rock show.
